A modern, well-equipped school doesn’t just help students succeed. It strengthens our town as a whole, raising property values, attracting businesses, and giving everyone a place to come together and thrive.
The timing of this proposal is driven by the immediate need for better educational facilities and the opportunity to secure favorable funding. Delaying the project could result in higher costs and missed opportunities for our students.

The bond will fund the construction of the new elementary school, including classrooms, a library, playgrounds, and other essential facilities. It will also cover necessary infrastructure improvements and safety enhancements.
We are committed to minimizing disruption to students during the construction period. Temporary arrangements will be made to ensure that educational activities continue smoothly and safely.
This new Elementary School building will alleviate overcrowding and storage issues at the Jr/Sr High School.
The 5th & 6th grades will relocate to the Elementary School, leaving 7th-12th grades at the Jr/Sr High School, providing room for growth in the existing space.
The new elementary school is designed to accommodate future growth, with flexible spaces that can be adapted to changing needs. This will ensure that we can continue to provide quality education as our community expands.
We are proposing this new elementary school project now to address the growing needs of our student population and to provide enhanced educational facilities. The timing aligns with our strategic goals and the availability of funding options.
The new library will be located in one of the designated green areas within the new elementary school. However, it will not be open for travel as it currently is, ensuring a more secure and focused environment for students.
The construction of the new elementary school is expected to take approximately 18-20 months from the start date. We will provide regular updates on the progress to keep the community informed.

Recently, we experienced a decline in students due to lack of daycare availability in our community.
We are actively seeking a daycare provider to run the center. While there are interested parties, the process involves thorough vetting to ensure the best fit for our community. We understand the importance of this service, especially given the recent loss of students due to daycare shortages.
The new elementary school will provide state-of-the-art facilities, creating a better learning environment and enhancing educational opportunities for our students. It will support modern teaching methods and accommodate future growth.
During the construction of the new elementary school, the playgrounds will be temporarily relocated to a designated area within the school grounds. We will work closely with the school to ensure the safety and accessibility of the playgrounds for all students.
The old preschool building may be repurposed or sold. The school recently purchased it, and we are exploring various options to make the best use of this asset for the benefit of the community.
The Board decided to call a bond election for November 4, 2025, after thorough deliberation and community input. The decision was based on the urgent need for improved educational facilities and the positive impact on our students' future.
The project will be funded with the sale of bonds, if approved by the voters.
The term of the bond will be 25 years, allowing for manageable repayment terms while providing the necessary funds for the new elementary school project.
Future housing and valuation growth will help distribute the tax burden more evenly among a larger number of taxpayers. This can potentially reduce the individual tax impact while supporting the funding of the new elementary school project.
Our tax rates are competitive when compared to other districts. We strive to maintain a balance between providing quality education and managing the financial impact on our taxpayers.
The bond amount that will appear on the ballot is $28.2 million. This amount has been carefully calculated to cover the costs of the new elementary school project while being mindful of the financial impact on taxpayers.
